Graduation Day - June 6, 1984

How many of us truly remember Graduation??? Yes, we remember the highlights:

Before the big day...

**Getting told that anyone who threw their cap at graduation would not receive their diploma.

**Also being told by a certain person (who shall remain nameless) that he didn't expect much to become of the people in our class and that we should just behave during the commencement ceremonies! (Wonder if we have changed his mind???)

**Receiving 5 Graduation Tickets to give to our closest loved ones for if it rained, since there wasn't enough room in the gym for more than that per family! (Thank goodness it didn't rain.)

On the big day...

**The walk down and around "The Bowl" for the ceremony.

**The laughter and the tears, the long speeches and the songs sung by the choir.

**The "after graduation" parties.

But...Do we remember who gave the speeches? How about who our Senior Class Officers were? Who can remember the seniors of the Class of '84 that had a 3.0 GPA or better? (And does it matter now what GPA they had???)
And then there's big one...everyone that graduated with us? (Trust me...this is a rough one!) Surely no one knew EVERYONE, but look at the list in the Commencement Program...there are people on that list that I was pretty sure were not in OUR class. <smile> (Goes to show you how much I know.)

If this peaks your interest at all, take a walk down memory lane and leaf through the Commencement Program for ol' times sake.....and if you really want to have fun, compare the list of graduating seniors in the Commencement Program to the list of seniors in the Yearbook!!! Great time to be had by all let me tell you! HA! What a difference...once again, I didn't realize that some of the people that are listed in the yearbook as seniors (in 1984) were in OUR class! Take a look....
