Submitted - October, 2002 updated February, 2003 What a difference 18 years make!!! Some things, however, never change. My life since high school... Well, as some of you may know, I got married the October following graduation. I am still married, 18 years later, to the same great guy, Geoffrey. We have two children, Zachary, 12, and Courtney, 10. In September of 1993, we moved (me kicking and screaming the whole time) away from Evansville to Richmond, Indiana. We lived there for a year and then moved to New Castle, Indiana. This is where we are to this day. I visit my mom, family and friends every chance I get, but could not even imagine living in Evansville again. I love the whole New Castle scene now! I also love seeing friends from my past too, so let me know if I should add you to my visiting list! HAHAHAHA As for what I'm "up to"... My life pretty much revolves around my "kids" and their activities. Last year I did get a job as a preschool teacher's aide. I tease the principal at my daughter's school that he got me the job to get me out of that school! It didn't work... I spend endless hours helping the teachers at my daughter's school and then go to work. After work, I spend most of my time driving my son to gymnastics practices. He is a competitive optional level gymnast and is in the gym 16 hours a week. Since he is only 12, someone (which would be me) has to take him to practice. The gym he competes for is 1 hour away... SO, if you do the math, I end up spending 26 hours a week on Zach's gymnastics' practices. Gotta love it! In my "spare time" I, like Scott Leatherland, spend WAY too much time on the computer/Internet! I remember hating computers when I got married to Geoffrey. He spent so much time on them though, that I decided to see what was so wonderful. Now I know! hahahaha I, with Scott's help, learned how to create web pages and now can't seem to find enough time to work on them! I created (and have now asked my husband to maintain) a web page for the gym my son use to go to www.andersongymnastics.com , I originally created a web page that keeps track of all of the statistics for the state of Indiana for girl's gymnastics (my husband is now doing this page) www.igss.org , last year I created a web page that keeps track of the statistics for the boy's gymnastics in the state of Indiana (www.inmenstats.org), I sometimes help Scott with the updating of this site, and I have taken over maintaining the entire website of the gym my son currently attends www.deveaus.com. So... that's what I'm up to. I would love to hear from anyone from Reitz that I might know so.... Email me!!! I hope that all of the people from the Class of 84 are doing well and find their way to this site. Scott does a great job keeping it updated...but, information is needed to keep it current. SO...write him or me so we can get new info on here!!! Til Next Time... Sonja |
